you need (besides the normal things such as adhesive, Falzbrett, etc.): 2x
gray cardboard squares A 8.89 cm x 8.89 cm 30.5 x 30.5 cm

two 3-1/2 "-square chip boards,
1 12" x12 "card stock,
clear acetate 2 2 7 / 8 "x 5" (or 5 1 / 16 "is better),
designer paper to decorate

Cut two squares of size 8.89 x 8.89 cm made from chipboard. You need only one for the box, the other is for the cover.
***
Cut out two 3-1/2 "square chip boards. You only need one for the box, the other one is for the lid.

rounded off the corners.
***
Round the corners.

Cuts to 4 Design papers of the same size.
***
Cut out 4 designer-paper squares of the same size.

Glue them on both sides of the gray cardboard squares.
***
Glue to the top and bottom of each chipboard square.

The Box / The Box
Now to the side of the box. Cut a sheet of 30.5 x 30.5 cm cardstock by half. The site, which later will be outside sets, you now please scroll down.
***
Now for the walls of the box. Cut out 6 "x 12" cardstock. The side of paper that's going to be the inside of the box should be face up now .

rebated the lines as follows: Horizontal
at 7.5 cm, 15 cm, 22.5 cm and 30 cm vertical
at 0.95 cm and 1.27 cm from the top of the bottom
Paint the lines do NOT after, I have only done so that you can see better where you shall cut and fold.
***
Score lines as indicated.
Horizontally at 2 15/16 "5 7 / 8", 8 13/16 "and 11 3 / 4".
Vertically at 3 / 8 "from the top and at 1 / 2" from the bottom.
DO NOT draw the lines broken like I have. I've only done them so you can see where the score lines should go.

The windows should be on two opposite sides. Draws you is best in pencil on the necessary lines! Draws a frame at a distance of 0.95 cm in the far right side.
***
Now to make the windows on two alternating sides of the box, draw a frame 3 / 8 "from the score lines.

connects the opposite corners with diagonals.
***
Draw diagonal lines from the corners of the frame.

Draws cm each both sides of the diagonals of another line at a distance of 0.32 a.
***
draw lines 1 / 8 "away on both sides of each diagonal lines.

I have the lines where it now schneident shall, to better articulate Once tightened bold.
***
I've drawn heavy lines now where you should cut away with your craft knife.

Around the edge of the window you stick around now your tape.
***
Apply 1 / 4 "Scor-tape on the frame of the window.

Removes the protective paper (or whatever you want to call it) and placed the film in the window.
***
Peel off the protective paper (or whatever you call it) and place the clear-acetate rectangles in place.

Bonds now a strip of double sided tape on the top plate, remove the protective paper and fold the flap down. This stiffens the upper edge of the box from something else.
***
Apply 1 / 4 "Scor-tape along the top, peel off the paper and fold the top of the box toward you. This will double the strength of the top rim of the box.

Rotates the whole is now over so that the outside facing up. Glue a strip of double sided tape on the bottom flap of the box. Bonds also a strip of tape on the side strap. Removes the Schutzppapier and glue together the box.
***
flip over so now the outside of the box is facing you. Apply 1 / 2 "scor-tape along the bottom of the box. Apply 1 / 4" score-tape along the vertical edge of the box. Peel the protective paper off this and close the box by bringing the open edges together.

cut the corners of the box as shown.
***
Cut the corners of the box to the score lines as shown.

Fold the flap inside.
***
Fold along the score lines.

Remove the protective paper.
***
Peel off the protective paper.

sticks and the box centered on one of the gray cardboard squares. I prefer this liquid adhesive, adhesive tape because it sticks right the first time and you can not correct a live position. With glue you can have the box to move something.
***
And center the box on top one of the chip boards. I actually prefer to use glue here as with the scor-tape you have to get it right the the first time. With glue, you have several seconds to reposition it if you're off center.

I have another square (7.3 x 7.3 cm) cut from patterned paper and glued to the box, the bottom looks nice from a lot.
***
I cut out a square piece of designer paper (2 7 / 8 "square) to line the bottom of the box so it looks nicer.

The lid / The Lid

cut a piece of cardstock to 11.11 x 11.11 cm handle and folds of each edge of each seen in 0.95 cm and 1.91 cm.

rebated along the dotted lines and then you cut along the solid marks. The areas marked with x you cut off entirely.
***
score along the broken lines. And then cut along the lines that have been darken below. Discard the pieces that are marked with and 'x'.

Fold along the folded lines.
***
Fold along score lines.

Bonds each a strip of tape on the outer edges.
***
Apply 1 / 4 "Scor-tape along the outer edges.

Remove the protective paper and forms part of the" under cover ".
** *
Peel off the protective paper and form the little box for underneath the lid.

Bonds that part is now situated to the other based on square.
***
it Center on top of the second decorated chipboard.

The lid should now easily in the opening of the box . Fit
***
lid should fit snugly This into the rim of the top of the box.

The Roof / The Roof

cut a piece of cardstock 15.25 x 15.25 cm handle. Folds now from all four edges of each at 1.27 cm and 6.35 cm and 8.89 respectively in cm, so its in the middle of a square of 2.54 x 2.54 cm gain.
***
Cut out a 6 "x6" piece of cardstock. Score 1 / 2 "from each of the 4 sides and score a one-inch square in the center of the paper.
From the corners you cut away one 3.81 x 3.81 cm square.
***
At each of the 4 corners, cut off a 1 1/2-inch square.

So it should look like at the end.
***
You should end up with this right now.

from every corner of the 2.54 x 2.54 cm square attracts her now three lines as shown above.
***
From the corner of the 1-inch square in the middle score, three diagonal lines to the points at the corner of the paper as shown above.

Then you fold up the folded lines. The average of the three lines folded her inside, as shown in the photo. It should now look like this.
***
Then make the folds along the score lines. The middle diagonal line at each corner should be a valley fold. The rest of the lines are mountain folds. I should look like this now.
Turning to the roof.
***
flip over.
Plot on the liquid glue and glue together the edges.
***
Apply glue as shown here and glue the corners together.

So this is your covered. You need it now, just stick the lid on.
***
So, this is your roof. You just have to glue it on top of your lid now.

Carry on the adhesive.
***
Apply glue.
Unt stuck on the roof of the center of the lid.
***
And center it on top of your lid.

Voila! Now you can decorate as you like.
***
Voila! Now you can decorate it anyway you want.

And this is my gift lanterns.
***
And this is how I ended up decorating my lantern gift box.

Here is another one.
***
Here is another one.
